“I was a patient of Steve’s for almost a year. I was dealing with a torn shoulder and didn’t see me having the sports career I wanted due to it. Steve helped insure me that I would get back into the game I loved! He didn’t push me too hard to where I was in tears but never once did we have an easy day. He gave me what it took to get back and we worked hard. He was always asking how I was doing, if I was in pain, and even talked about my life as well. He showed he cared and and always listened to what I was saying about my body’s reaction to the PT. He made the pain go away and made it possible for me to play again. He’s a great, well educated physical therapist and he can work wonders!!! ”

“An avid hiker/backpacker, I was suddenly forced to sit out due to excruciating foot pain. After almost a year of barely being able to walk, and trying many other treatments for plantar fasciitis, I reluctantly scheduled an appointment with Dr. Cabrales by way of recommendation. As directed by a podiatrist I had tried massage, walking boots, sleeping boots, acupuncture, ice, anti-inflammatories, pain meds - you name it. So, I was skeptical that Steve could help. Luckily, I was wrong! His approach was very different than I had experienced at other physical therapists. He is kind, personable, and genuinely listens. His workouts had me doing fun and unique therapy exercises that, as he would often remind me, “get you back to hiking.” He implemented exercises that would simulate moves that I would make on the trail. Steve’s goal was to fix the cause and teach me how to avoid re-injury so that I could return to doing what I love. During our sessions, I appreciated that he would teach me about my injury and explain how the therapy exercises addressed those issues. I had to end my sessions prematurely due to job demands but continued to perform the exercises he taught me. I’m happy to report that I recently finished a 4 day wilderness backpacking trip with an elevation gain of more than 7,000 feet - without any foot pain! I’m so grateful to Steve for his help. If you’ve rolled your eyes at the recommendation to see a physical therapist, please consider giving it one more try with Dr. Cabrales.”

“I recently completed the rehabilitation of my surgically repaired ACL with Dr. Steve Cabrales. Through his progressive and sport specific treatment we completed my physical therapy 4 weeks ahead of what my surgeon originally projected. When I first met Steve, he immediately gained my respect and trust. He is extremely knowledgeable and you can clearly see the passion he brings to his craft. Steve and I developed a great report. He has a way of tactfully pushing you with every movement and exercise. His focus and attention to form, technique, flexibility, agility and strength is unlike anything I experienced rehabbing with other professionally for previous injuries, which included complete ruptures of my Achilles and Rotator Cuff. Through observation, Steve pointed out I hadn’t fully recovered from a 6 year old Achilles surgery and made that it a focal point to ensure proper alignment and strength on both legs. Simply stated, throughout my recover, the results have spoken for themselves, my surgeon, family and friends were been dumbfounded by the progress they observed week in and week out. None of them could believe I was progressing as fast as I was. I completely credit Steve’s meticulous attention to detail for guiding me on my recovery. He safely got me back to controlled running at least a month ahead of my initial expectations.
With Steve, you are not just another client or patient, you are a person. He will help you along your journey both athletically but most importantly he is there for you mentally as well. He is tuned into your mannerisms, expressions and pays close attention to your progression. He treats the whole you by doing what is best for your specific needs.”

“My story started with a foot surgery to help with pain in my foot from a horse accident. While my surgeon told me that PT was not required after this surgery, I felt very strong about getting motion as soon as possible. I went to see Steve Cabrales to help me with a post surgery plan. Steve was a true partner in my recovery. He added just the right about of motivation and fun to have me on the road to recovery. There was 3 weeks between surgery and seeing Steve for my first PT session. We worked hard and by week 5, I went back to my gym for a modified workout … I was so impressed. We continued for several more weeks and Steve had me ready to roll. I had the surgery in Mid December and a trip to Italy planned for Mid May … so I was really concerned that I would not be able to do the amount of walking I wanted to do in order to see the sights of Italy. By the time I left on my trip I was able to walk without an issue all over Italy … Thanks Steve for all your help.
